Meanwhile, the US Central Command (Centcom) has announced that it has concluded the second consecutive day of attacks, which it has described as self-defensive and which began on a Wednesday, a little over an hour before midnight Central European Time.
Trump announced on Wednesday that the US would attack Iran despite the ceasefire in place since April and his efforts to reach an agreement to end the war. “Yesterday we hit them hard and today we will hit them hard again,” Trump told reporters in the White House. Tehran has responded with a statement, saying: “We have hit them hard and we will hit them hard again.”
