In the third edition of the 225 million euro public bonds

The third edition of the people’s bonds, specifically designed for Slovenian residents, marked a significant milestone by issuing bonds to minors for the first time. The issuance took place between March 16th and 27th, utilizing approximately 450 registration locations throughout the nation. During this period, a total of 6,893 citizens registered to participate in the scheme.

State Secretary for Finance, Nikolina Prah, announced the successful outcome of the issue in Ljubljana today. Prah emphasized the primary objective of all three bond editions: to bolster the Slovenian capital market. She explained that the initiative offers an alternative to traditional savings deposits, which may offer little or no interest.

Furthermore, the program actively promotes financial literacy among the population. Citizens invested a substantial 210 million euros in the bonds, representing the majority of the total issuance. The remaining 15 million euros were successfully issued as part of the overall plan.
