UKC Ljubljana Expands Capabilities with Renovated Building

Ljubljana – The University Clinical Center (UKC) Ljubljana has significantly expanded its operational capacity with the completion of a renovated building adjacent to its main campus. The new facility, located behind the main UKC Ljubljana building near the pediatric clinic and medical emergency rooms, has been designed to support a range of critical services. The building incorporates a modern CT scanning machine alongside a resuscitation room, enhancing diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

Crucially, it has also facilitated the relocation of the unit for electronic archiving of the documentation management service. During the ongoing renovation of the main hospital building, several clinical departments have been temporarily moved into the renovated space. This includes the internal and surgical clinics, alongside offices essential for their operations.

Furthermore, the faculties of the medical faculty will be relocating to the third floor of the main building, intended to increase activity within the clinic. Future phases will see parts of the clinical departments move into the new building, solidifying its role as a key component of the UKC Ljubljana’s infrastructure.
