In Crimea, children’s summer camps were banned until September

Crimean Authorities Announce Cancellation of Summer Camps Amid Security Concerns

Simferopol, Crimea – The Russian-appointed head of the occupation authorities in Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced Monday that all children’s summer camps will be suspended by September. The decision, communicated via Telegram, is attributed to the need to maintain public security, according to reports from the German press agency dpa. Aksyonov requested public understanding regarding this measure.

This announcement follows a series of recent actions by the Crimean occupation administration. These actions have been prompted by increased Ukrainian drone attacks targeting the occupied peninsula and its key transportation links with Russia. Last Sunday, authorities imposed a temporary ban on civilian fuel sales, scheduled to remain in effect until Wednesday.

Aksyonov stated that fuel distribution will be limited to government agencies responsible for the functioning and security of the Republic of Crimea, as reported by the British Guardian. Local authorities are continuing to implement security protocols in Crimea. The move underscores the ongoing impact of Ukrainian drone activity on the region and the measures being taken by the occupying forces to address perceived threats to public safety, specifically concerning children’s summer programs.
