Search Continues for Missing Man in Rural Area
Police are actively searching for Jefferson Lewis, a 47-year-old man who disappeared from an area approximately a year ago. The search, initiated following his disappearance, is being conducted with the assistance of volunteers and local officers. Police Deputy Mark Grieve stated that the investigation is ongoing and that all available resources are being utilized.
He urged anyone with information regarding Lewis’s whereabouts to contact the police department immediately. The search is focused on an uninhabited area surrounding the location of his disappearance. Reports indicate that police and volunteers are systematically combing the terrain.
“It’s terrible that a small child has disappeared,” stated Deputy Grieve. “It’s been more than 24 hours, and it would be the worst nightmare for me as a parent.”
Lewis is known to police due to his distinctive appearance. A description of the missing man includes a dark blue shirt with a white collar and sleeves, and black shorts.
