Two separate incidents occurred in the Slovenian mountains on the day, requiring significant response from rescue services. The first incident took place at 11:46 at the top of Storžič in the municipality of Tržič. A hiker sustained an injury after being struck on the head by a falling rock during a descent.
Responding personnel included the Tržič Mountain Rescue Service and the emergency medical team from Brnik. The injured individual was subsequently transported by a Slovenian Army helicopter to the valley floor, where the Tržič medical team assumed ongoing care. Approximately half an hour later, at 12:14, a second emergency unfolded in Jezersko.
A child slipped while traveling toward the Czech cottage. The child’s mother attempted to render aid and sustained a leg injury in the process. Both individuals received immediate attention from the GRS Jezersko rescue team, supported by the emergency medical team from Brnik.
In both instances, coordinated efforts from multiple specialized units were critical. Following assessment, the Slovenian Army helicopter was utilized again to airlift both injured parties to the University clinic in Jesenice for advanced medical treatment. The rapid deployment of rescue teams and the coordinated response from various medical personnel ensured care was administered throughout the challenging mountain environments.
