ICE arrested the wife of an American soldier a few days after the wedding

Annie Ramos, a 22-year-old woman, attempted to register herself as the wife of Matthew Blank, a 23-year-old soldier, in Louisiana during early April. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who detained Ramos at the location. “I never imagined that following the procedures, that is, registering my wife, would lead to her being taken away from me,” Blank stated following the arrest.
