‘I wouldn’t forgive myself if I showed that I was lying for the first month after the elections’

The Resnica party secured 5.52 percent of the votes in the parliamentary elections held on Sunday, based on the majority of tallied results. Due to the fact that no single party achieved sufficient votes to establish a governing coalition independently, this political group holds a potentially crucial position. Party leader Zoran Stevanović affirmed this fact on the 24UR ZVEČER program, stating that the Resnica party had received an invitation from Prime Minister Robert Golob and President Golob of the Freedom party for a meeting in Ljubljana’s Crystal Palace scheduled for Friday.

The email correspondence suggests that several parties are being invited to participate. Stevanović commented, “We anticipate attending. We have indicated our willingness to converse with all parties, however, this does not represent a definitive commitment at this stage.”

On election night, the Resnica party’s president expressed his desire to attend the meeting, but acknowledged his inability to do so as he is not a member of the party.

The outcome of these votes will be significant.
