A traffic accident occurred on Tuesday evening, shortly before 10 p.m., on a regional road located in the village of Debro, within the municipality of Laško. The incident involved multiple passenger vehicles. The sequence of events began when one passenger vehicle was observed driving from the entrance road toward the main thoroughfare leading to Laško.
Simultaneously, a second passenger vehicle, operated by a 23-year-old driver, was traveling from the direction of Celje. According to reports, the 23-year-old driver attempted evasive maneuvers to prevent a collision but subsequently struck the rear right section of the other vehicle. Following the initial impact, the 23-year-old’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with a nearby tree.
Laško firefighters promptly arrived at the scene to secure the area. Upon assessment, rescuers disconnected the battery and immediately began basic life-support procedures on an unresponsive individual. Despite the rapid and continued resuscitation efforts provided by the emergency personnel, the person unfortunately succumbed to their injuries at the site of the accident.
Following the conclusion of emergency medical services, competent authorities inspected the scene. The firefighters managed the aftermath by spraying the spilled motor fluids to prevent further environmental contamination. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this vehicular collision is ongoing.
