Police officers from the Šentjur Police Station have investigated several car thefts in Šentjur and the surrounding area between January and May this year. “The perpetrator would come to the parked vehicles at night and from the vehicles that were unlocked, he would steal wallets, cash, computers and other valuable items,” the Celje Police Department wrote. Šentjur police officers found out during the investigation that the perpetrator was driving a train in Šentjur and had an e-scooter with him to be mobile.
They used security camera footage that was submitted to the police by citizens and other footage that was obtained during the investigation to determine that the perpetrator was a 41-year-old man from Gorenjska. The 41-year-old was charged with the suspicion of committing 13 felonies of theft, and during the investigation, several dozen other felonies were also investigated.
