Allegations have surfaced regarding the accuracy of MP Boris Mijič’s stated educational background. According to reports from the portal Necenzurirano, Mijič was accused of providing misleading information concerning his academic credentials. Prior to the elections, his curriculum vitae indicated that he possessed a seventh-grade education alongside a degree in civil engineering, which he claimed to have earned from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy (FGG) in Ljubljana.
However, the FGG issued a statement to the portal contradicting these claims. The faculty asserted that Mijič had never graduated from its institution. Furthermore, the FGG noted that Mijič’s CV failed to mention any other higher education achievements, either within Slovenia or internationally, listing only several short courses and seminars.
Specifically, the FGG informed the portal that “Boris Mijič is not registered as a graduate at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Ljubljana. His diploma thesis is also not available in the publicly accessible COBISS system.” This official denial casts doubt on the veracity of the educational qualifications presented by the politician. The discrepancies surrounding his reported education have become a point of focus following his recent public appearances.
