Janja Garnbret Focuses on Natural Climbing Ahead of Upcoming Season

The reigning champion has amassed an impressive record, including two Olympic gold medals, ten world champion titles, 49 world cup wins, and nine world cup overall winner titles, demonstrating a sustained level of dominance in the sport. Garnbret’s primary focus for the upcoming season, beginning in China, centers on training at natural climbing sites.

Specifically, she is dedicating significant time to the Bibliographie in the French Céüse region, aiming to replicate a successful performance from 2025. “This is still a project,” she stated. “I hope to do what I did last year this year.”

The season will also include participation in World Cup races, with Koper scheduled as a key event.

Garnbret and her team are preparing a dedicated training program leading up to November. Currently on location with her brother, also a climber, in the French Céüse, Garnbret is actively preparing for the next World Cup race. With numerous world titles and cup wins under her belt, she is poised to contend for her 50th World Cup victory this season.

The athlete’s dedication to challenging herself ensures her continued presence at the forefront of the sport.
