Two Brothers Receive Sentences for Assaulting Farmer
A court has sentenced two brothers for the crime of causing serious bodily injury. The incident occurred on July 8th of last year, involving a local farmer. According to reports, Aleksander Strojan initially struck the farmer in the head, leading to a fall.
Subsequently, Primož Strojan deployed pepper spray before engaging in physical attacks, including kicking the victim in the buttocks and back. The farmer sustained significant injuries, resulting in a fracture of the lower portion of his left eye socket and left lip, as well as an injury to his jaw. The prosecution had initially focused on Stanko Železnik, but the indictment was withdrawn following the trial, and the court subsequently dismissed it.
Investigators noted that the attack took place during darkness and involved the farmer, who had previously experienced thefts targeting his potato crops. The court emphasized the lack of justification for the violence, stating, “They attacked him without cause.” The sentencing concluded the legal proceedings related to this incident in the year 2023.
