Weather conditions across Slovenia saw a gradual abatement in the interior during the late evening, though conditions intensified within the upper Posočje region. Concurrently, a significantly stronger storm system developed over Italy, tracking toward the southeast. By the early morning hours, while strong winds were reported primarily across Primorsko, the most substantial activity was being directed toward the Istrian region of Croatia.
According to the RS Emergency Management Agency, the storms generated the most significant issues within the Gorenjska area, particularly around Kranj, where 24 incident reports were logged by 6:45 AM. Specific localized incidents were noted in Gorenje vas – Poljan, which recorded three reports, and another incident in the Naklo area. Disruptions were also reported in the Carinthia region.
In the Slovenj Gradec area, there were four recorded reports, supplemented by two incidents in Dravograd. Furthermore, local emergency services documented four reports in the Mislinja area, and one report in the Prevalje area. The reports indicate that the weather system affected multiple geographical points, necessitating attention from various municipal and emergency units throughout the morning.
