The Fire Brigade of Žalec reported an incident involving a structure fire that occurred in the natural environment of Arja vas, located near Žalec, earlier today. The blaze, which broke out just before 3:00 PM, resulted in the complete burning of a wooden weekend house situated close to the Biopark. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
Emergency response was mobilized by volunteer fire brigades from Žalec, Gotovlje, and Vrbje. A total of 26 firefighters responded to the scene, supported by seven fire engines. Firefighters successfully managed the incident, extinguishing the fire and securing the surrounding area to prevent any further spread of the flames.
In addition to the firefighting efforts, local police officers were present at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire. Authorities are currently working to determine the origin and cause of the incident near the biopark. The coordinated efforts of the various fire brigades ensured that the situation was contained promptly.
