Extensive rescue operation on Sava: search for dozens of people

A complex rescue operation commenced early this morning, involving police, civil protection teams, firefighters, the Croatian mountain rescue service, and the Red Cross, as reported by net.hr. Minister for internal affairs, Davor Božinović, stated that rescuers are utilizing thermal imaging cameras due to challenging visibility and the unique characteristics of the terrain. These efforts have allowed them to locate the group or discern voices.

He cautioned that the possibility of deaths remains a serious concern. The Sava River is the site of this ongoing rescue. Božinović indicated that the individuals involved are almost certainly migrants attempting an unauthorized entry into the nation.
