New State Secretaries Appointed in Slovenia’s Ministry of Health and Justice
The Slovenian Parliament (DZ) has approved the appointment of Aljoša Kravanja Košir as State Secretary within the Ministry of Health and Levstik Šega as State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice. The decision, finalized following a recommendation from the DZ’s mandate-election commission, took effect prior to an extraordinary session of the parliament. The State Electoral Commission (DVK) submitted the necessary documentation outlining the transition.
During the tenure of Košir and Levstik Šega in their respective roles as state secretary, Zavadlav Ušaj will continue to fulfill the duties of a deputy within the ministry. Aljoša Kravanja Košir’s appointment replaces Elena Zavadlav Ušaj, who was elected to represent a constituency in Carniola with 1,597 votes – equating to 8.19% of the total. Ušaj’s previous role involved serving as a state secretary within the relevant ministry.
The changes reflect standard procedures for the assignment of responsibilities across the state administration. The DZ’s actions solidify the new leadership within these key government departments.
