Easier to get answers: pediatrists set up a website for parents

New Website Offers Unified Pediatric Recommendations for Parents

A new website has been launched offering consolidated health recommendations from the unified Slovenian pediatric community. The platform is designed to provide parents with readily accessible, professional guidance on managing common health issues affecting children and adolescents. “The primary goal of these pediatric recommendations is to furnish parents with verified professional information,” stated Dr.

Denis Baš, President of the Primary Pediatrics Section of the Slovenian Pediatric Society (ZZP). Recognizing the challenges of recalling detailed medical advice, Dr. Baš emphasized the importance of presenting information clearly and understandably.

Dr. Marko Pokorn, the expert director of the Pediatric Clinic of the Ljubljana University Clinical Center, added, “As a patient, I understand that parents often retain only a portion of the information shared during consultations.” The website’s creation responds to the increasing trend of parents proactively seeking health information regarding their children. The recommendations aim to alleviate parental distress during times of child illness.

The new website serves as a central resource for trusted, professional advice, ensuring parents have access to accurate and understandable guidance on a range of pediatric health concerns. The project reflects a commitment to supporting parents in navigating their children’s healthcare needs.
