Police officers in Jesenice were informed about an accident at work on the Žirovnica municipality area on Friday around 8:30. According to their information, a 38-year-old man fell into the depths while performing work on the facility and suffered severe injuries. Medical assistance was provided by the emergency medical assistance personnel in Jesenice at the scene, and then he was taken to the Ljubljana University Hospital by a helicopter of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
The assistance in securing the helicopter’s landing was also provided by firefighters. The police officers conducted a site visit and continue to collect information about all circumstances of the incident. As they were informed by the Kranj Police Department, the procedure is also being conducted in the direction of suspicion of committing a criminal act under the chapter of criminal acts against employment and social security.
The labor inspector was informed about the incident, who came to the scene.
