Dragic: I honestly don’t think the coach would be, it’s too much of an obligation

Goran Dragić appears serene following the conclusion of his extensive professional basketball career. He acknowledges a shift, stating that life beyond the intense demands of competition now genuinely suits him. While he hasn’t entirely relinquished his competitive spirit, he doesn’t entirely regret its absence.

“The only thing I don’t miss is perhaps the games themselves, not the rigorous training sessions,” Dragić explained. “Since retiring, I haven’t missed anything. I now have considerable time to dedicate to my children.

We frequently enjoy activities such as skiing and other diverse pursuits that were previously unavailable to us.”

He’s found a comfortable rhythm, prioritizing family and leisure. Dragić confirms he hasn’t lost his competitive edge, but the pressures of the sport no longer dominate his life. He’s embraced a slower pace, allowing him to fully appreciate the present.

The change has been positive, offering him a chance to focus on relationships and experiences. He’s content with his new reality, and he certainly doesn’t miss the constant demands of his former profession.
