Following the incident, Verstappen issued a statement via social media. “Motorsports is something we all love. But such moments remind us that it can also be very dangerous,” Verstappen wrote on Instagram.

“Our sympathy goes out to Juha’s family and all those who loved him.”

Notably, Juha Miettinen and his team member Lucas Auer were not involved in the accident at the time. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the inherent risks within competitive racing.
