Crash at Soteska: two people seriously injured

A serious traffic collision involving three vehicles occurred on the road between Soteska and Dvor on May 3rd at approximately 7:00 PM, according to police reports. The incident prompted a swift response from emergency services. Initial investigations, conducted by the police, indicate that a 25-year-old male driver, traveling from Žužemberk towards Novo mesto, entered the left lane at the Soteska junction.

This maneuver resulted in a collision with a vehicle operated by a 50-year-old woman traveling in the opposite direction. Following the initial impact, the 25-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle and subsequently collided with the vehicle occupied by a 74-year-old driver. The 74-year-old sustained serious injuries and a 71-year-old passenger within the same vehicle also received serious injuries.

Rescue personnel attended to both injured individuals, transporting them to receive medical treatment. The police are currently undertaking a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident at Soteska, examining all relevant factors.
