The Dragons will commence their first home game in the semifinals at the Tivoli Arena on Tuesday at 7:15 pm, with the venue nearly completely sold out. The teams will alternate hosting duties, and the subsequent game will take place in Ljubljana next Sunday. A third game in Ljubljana is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th.
These semifinals represent the first time Olimpija has reached this stage since joining the strongest regional competition five seasons ago. It’s a positive outcome, though the team is aiming for greater success. Maribor’s leading player commented, “I am incredibly pleased that we’ve progressed to the semifinals.
We have a fantastic group of players, both on the ice and within the team’s operations. This is a deserved reward, stemming from eight years of dedicated work and our efforts throughout the entire game season. It’s a significant step towards achieving our objectives.”
He added, “A huge congratulations to all the players for their accomplishments in this game.”
