Speeding Incident in Slovenian Village Results in License Suspension
Gornja Radgona police conducted speed measurements in the Apače municipality on Monday, resulting in a traffic violation. According to the Police Directorate of Murska Sobota, a driver operating a passenger car exceeded the speed limit on a designated road section within the village. Measurements indicated the driver was traveling at 111 kilometers per hour, where the legal limit is 50 km/h.
Police officers determined the driver was a novice. Following the incident, the driver was temporarily deprived of his driving license. “A driver of a passenger car was driving at the road section in the village where the speed limit is limited to 50 km/h by general regulation, and drove 111 km/h,” stated the PU of Murska Sobota.
The incident is now under legal review, with authorities preparing to submit an indictment to the competent court. The driver’s lack of experience was a key factor in the decision to suspend his driving privileges. Further details regarding the court proceedings are pending.
