Before the results of the postal votes and the DKP Svoboda 7700 votes ahead of the SDS

Yesterday’s parliamentary elections produced a decisive outcome, with the Freedom Party securing a majority of the votes according to initial, unconfirmed data. The party garnered 29 seats out of a total of 29 available. The Social Democratic Union (SDS) achieved second place, capturing 27.95% of the votes and subsequently claiming 28.62% of the overall vote share.

These figures represent preliminary, unofficial results; the definitive results will be announced by the National Assembly at 8:00 a.m. Several other parties also achieved representation within the National Assembly. The lists of New Slovenia (NSi), Social Liberal Party (SLS), Focus, Social Democracy (SD), and Democrats secured nine seats apiece.

Furthermore, the Levica and Vesna lists obtained five seats. A total of 69.32% of the 1,175,173 votes cast were submitted. This turnout figure is slightly lower than the 70.97% recorded in the previous elections four years prior.

The election results demonstrate a clear preference for the Freedom Party, solidifying their position with a significant number of votes.
