The Health Inspectorate has initiated a recall concerning a specific toy due to potential health risks identified through laboratory testing. The inspectorate announced that ten samples of sand toys were submitted for analysis to check for asbestos fiber content. Following preliminary analysis, the inspectorate issued a warning, stating that the “Sensory blocks” toy contains asbestos fibers, which presents a recognized health hazard.

Consequently, the “Sensory blocks” toy, consisting of 16 pieces, has been recalled. For consumer reference, the product details provided by the inspectorate are as follows: the RS Product code is 7328, the EAN code is 5060138820289, and the product series is 2519. The manufacturer of the affected toy is TickiT, based in the United Kingdom, while the supplier is Euromix, located in Črnič.

The Health Inspectorate advises consumers against using the product and instructs that it be returned to the point of purchase. This action underscores the inspectorate’s commitment to public safety by proactively removing potentially hazardous materials from the market.
