Tourist in Ljubljana Experiences Severe Allergic Reaction, Prompt Response Saves Potential Complications

A tourist in Ljubljana experienced a sudden and serious allergic reaction while dining at a restaurant in the city center last weekend. The incident prompted a rapid response from restaurant staff and a private chauffeur, highlighting the critical importance of swift action in emergency situations. According to Dejan Hajdin, the chauffeur who transported the tourist, the situation rapidly worsened at Vodnikov trg.

Immediately recognizing the severity, Mr. Hajdin drove the individual to the University Clinical Centre (UKC) within approximately four minutes. Rok Vihar, director of LPP, confirmed the urgency of the situation, stating that the UKC indicated a significant potential for complications with even a brief delay in treatment.

Following immediate medical attention at the UKC, the tourist expressed gratitude to both Mr. Hajdin and Mr. Vihar for their prompt assistance.

The event underscores the responsiveness of local services and the potential consequences of unexpected medical emergencies.
