Italian journalist Vito Vrsaj of Globo stated on a talk show that Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is not among the players seriously considered by manager Carlo Ancelotti. Vrsaj explained that he did not perceive a significant level of attention surrounding Neymar’s situation. Neymar currently plays for Santos, his boyhood club in Brazil.
Despite being the all-time leading scorer for the Brazilian national team with 79 goals in 128 appearances, his recent performances have not matched his previous success. He was absent for two matches during Brazil’s quarterfinal exit at the 2022 World Cup against Croatia. Following a transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, Neymar made only seven appearances, and is now attempting to re-enter the Brazilian national team roster through his return to Santos.
However, he has yet to establish a consistent role within the team.
