Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at a property in Grosuplje. Acting under the authority granted by the Emergency Measures Act for Public Security (ZNUZJV), law enforcement entered the residence. Upon entering, the police discovered several items, including six additional magazines, a substantial quantity of cartridges, and a metal box located near two firearms.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Following the seizure of the weapons and ammunition, the police have initiated formal investigations. Authorities are currently conducting a pre-trial investigation concerning suspicion of committing an act that poses a general danger, alongside a criminal investigation into alleged violations of the Weapons Act.
The competent state authorities will now examine whether the individual in question met all the legal criteria required for owning firearms. All findings gathered during the investigation will be formally reported to the competent state prosecutor.
