According to reports from Slovenian News, the convicted officer obtained the key to the safe by taking it from his colleague’s drawer. Utilizing this key, he then unlocked the safe and proceeded to steal the money. The Ljubljana District Court delivered a one-year prison sentence for this offense.
This judgment overturned a previous conditional prison sentence issued by the Cerknica District Court last year. The Cerknica Court had convicted him of two offenses of embezzlement and unlawful use of foreign property. It is important to note that the Ljubljana Court’s judgment remains subject to appeal and is not yet final.
