At 10:25 AM, a hiker on the Tominšek path on Triglav experienced an incident when they slipped and fell off the established trail. According to the RS Emergency Service, the individual was immediately lost from sight, prompting a rapid response from emergency personnel. Mountain rescue teams dispatched from Mojstrana, along with an emergency unit from Brnik, were quickly mobilized and rushed to the location.
After a search operation, the teams successfully located the hiker. However, despite the swift rescue efforts, the man sustained injuries deemed fatal at the scene. Following the recovery, the deceased was transported down into the valley via a Slovenian Army helicopter.
Upon arrival in the valley, the individual was taken over by the appropriate funeral service procedures. Subsequently, the rescue teams returned to the initial incident site. During this follow-up operation, they successfully collected the other hikers who were present at the location and confirmed that all of them were uninjured.
