German Citizen Arrested Following Drug and ID Forgery Investigation in Novo mesto
Novo mesto – Police officers from the Novo mesto Police Station detained a 28-year-old German citizen following a routine check on a bus passenger at the Obrežje bus station. During the interaction, the individual presented a forged identification document to the police. Following the initial encounter, a subsequent inspection of the passenger’s travel suitcase revealed a significant quantity of illicit substances.
Authorities seized 670 psychoactive tablets, 830 grams of cannabis, and a small amount of cannabis resin and cocaine. The seized drugs were formally handed over to the police. The German citizen was subsequently taken into custody and detained.
He is now facing charges related to forgery of documents and the unlawful production and trafficking of prohibited drugs. The individual was brought before the investigating judge of the Krško District Court, who subsequently transferred him to the prosecutor’s office for further legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing.
