Sturm about the change of the selector: New energy has prevailed

Danijel Šturm commented on the shift from Matjaž Kek to Boštjan Cesar as the team’s selector, describing it as a new energy. However, he emphasized that this change alone doesn’t represent a genuine transformation within the squad. The most crucial factor, according to the 27-year-old Slovenian midfielder, is the team’s ability to begin securing victories.

Energy, self-assurance, and a winning mentality are paramount. Šturm also highlighted the specific challenges anticipated in upcoming friendlies. Despite the tactics still being in development, he expressed confidence in the team’s current form.

“My recent performances, particularly over the last month, have been exceptional,” he stated. “It’s regrettable that we were knocked out of the Conference League, but I’m genuinely pleased with my contributions.”

Šturm, playing for Sigma, has been a key figure, contributing to six goals in Olomouc during that period and receiving considerable praise from his teammates. A significant absence within the team is the injured goalkeeper, Jan Oblak.

This absence adds to the overall situation surrounding the team’s current circumstances about the change.
