Svetlana Padao Conti’s journey began in Minsk, eventually leading her to Prague and then Slovenia. Her early years were marked by hardship; she experienced poverty alongside her father’s alcoholism and her mother’s tireless efforts to care for three daughters. Her grandmother provided invaluable support throughout this challenging period.
From a very young age, Svetlana demonstrated a remarkable creative spirit. She commenced painting at the age of three, and subsequently pursued her artistic education at the Glebova Art High School in Minsk. Following this, she continued her studies at the DAMU Academy in Prague, graduating with a specialization in scenography for alternative and puppet theater.
In Prague, Svetlana worked as a scenographer and incorporated fire juggling into her performances. She traveled extensively across Europe and America, experiencing diverse cultures and landscapes. In 2022, a significant event – love – brought her to Slovenia.
Currently, Svetlana resides in Dolenjska, establishing a family and dedicating her time to creative pursuits. She also volunteers at workshops, actively promoting the understanding and application of artificial intelligence. Alenka Kesar remarked, “She is charming, even if she is a bit heavier.” Svetlana’s story exemplifies resilience and a passion for both art and innovation.
