Igor Komarov, a Czech national, and his girlfriend, influencer Jeva Mišalova, along with a mutual friend, were the subjects of a series of abductions during a vacation on Bali, Indonesia, in February. Initial reports detailed Komarov’s abduction while riding a scooter, followed by a subsequent incident where he was taken against his will. Following the first abduction, Komarov reported the event to local authorities.

Shortly after, a video surfaced on Telegram depicting Komarov appearing injured. In the video, he alleged torture by his captors and stated a demand for $10 million (€8.5 million) from his parents. Adding a contentious element to the situation, Komarov claimed his abduction was orchestrated by Ukrainians, alleging his father had engaged in illicit financial activities.

The video concluded with the phrase “Allow cookies ‘Mama, father, please.’”

Police investigations are ongoing, and authorities are working to verify the claims made by Komarov. The circumstances surrounding his ordeal and the allegations of involvement by Ukrainian individuals remain under scrutiny. Jeva Mišalova, Komarov’s girlfriend, has not issued a public statement regarding the events.
