The revival of Šeška and United, which is the best team in the Premier League this year

Manchester United Sacking Manager Ruben Amorim Following Poor Performance

Manchester United dismissed manager Ruben Amorim in December 2024 after a period of instability following his appointment in November of the same year. During his tenure, Amorim oversaw 63 competitive matches, resulting in 23 losses and 15 draws. The club finished 15th in the Premier League during the preceding season, and suffered a defeat in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

This season began with a promising eight wins and seven draws across 20 matches. However, this form was deemed insufficient by the club’s leadership. A 2-2 draw against Leeds United ultimately led to Amorim’s dismissal.

Following Amorim’s departure, Darren Fletcher took over as interim coach. Fletcher secured a 2-2 draw against Burnley in the Championship, and subsequently, United lost to Brighton (2-1) in the FA Cup. Both of Fletcher’s matches as interim manager ended in draws.

The situation highlights ongoing challenges for the club within the English league and underscores the pressure on United’s management to achieve consistent success. The club’s leadership continues to assess options for a permanent manager following this period.
