The Nova Gorica Police Department confirmed that there was no staff present at the location when the fire erupted. The blaze, which began shortly after 6:00 p.m., required a significant response. One hundred and four firefighters from eight volunteer fire brigades worked diligently to combat the fire.
These brigades included Tolmin, Dolenja Trebuša, Grahovo ob Bači, Kneža, Most na Soči, Podbrdo, Ponikve – Planina, and Kobarid. Following the successful extinguishment of the fire, a monitoring watch was established at the scene. Alongside police officers, representatives from the electrical company were also involved.
Other relevant authorities assisted in the operation. Currently, the precise cause of the fire remains undetermined. Furthermore, the full extent of the damage is still under evaluation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and officials are working to assess the situation at the scene.
