The first day of early voting had a lower turnout than in 2022

Pre-election voting commenced in Slovenia, revealing a relatively low turnout on the initial day. District electoral commissions reported that 24,559 voters cast their ballots, representing 1.4% of the total electorate of 1,695,196. This figure contrasts with the 2022 national assembly elections, where 35,754 voters participated, accounting for 2.1% of the total registered voters.

Historical data also provides context. During the 2018 pre-election period, 11,713 voters cast their ballots on the first day, equating to just 0.68% of the total electorate of 1,695,196. The DVK, the electoral commission, has clarified that for omnia voters, the final opportunity to apply for home voting or polling station voting is rapidly approaching.

These figures indicate a modest level of engagement in the pre-election process. Currently, omnia voters are limited to submitting applications for home voting solely due to inability to vote at designated locations.
