The president expects action on the recordings

Nataša Pirc Musar stresses that, at the outset of the electoral campaign, she cautioned that unbiased and truthful voter information is crucial for democratic and genuine elections. She further stated, “Deliberately distorting facts, misleading, disseminating misinformation, foreign state interference in elections, and foreign funding – these represent examples of electoral campaigns, as we’ve recently observed in several European nations.”

The president highlights that such behaviors are deeply reprehensible. Slovenia has now been added to the list of countries experiencing similar issues within this campaign.

It is now imperative to initiate proactive measures. The SDS party has expressed awareness of the “Black Cube” matter for the first time. Miro Cerar, represented by Katja Fajon, views this as a direct assault on national sovereignty.

Pirc Musar believes it is particularly vital that the public receives unequivocal notification regarding the availability of these recordings. Ultimately, the president underscores the significance of transparent communication during the electoral process, ensuring an honest and informed electorate.
