Matej Grah, of the Svoboda party, stated that the party does not intend to pursue the Virant path despite a vote on Friday that appeared to indicate otherwise. Following this initial statement, Svoboda prepared a document outlining three key points for further negotiations: economic relief through reduced workload, healthcare reform, and the fight against corruption. Grah expressed hope that a solution could be found, urging parties to “pick up the phone and sit down at a common table.” Klemen Boštjančič will lead the negotiation team for Svoboda.
The team’s proposals will be presented not only to party leader Anžet Logar but also to other MPs and party members. Grah emphasized the desire for a broader composition of the negotiation group, drawing a comparison to previous discussions with the Left and Social Democrats (SD) in 2022. The goal is to establish a wider group to facilitate productive dialogue and reach an agreement.
