A traffic accident involving two moped drivers occurred in Sremič, Slovenia, on Tuesday at approximately 4:00 PM. Police in Novo mesto responded to the report and, in conjunction with officers from Krško, investigated the incident. The investigation revealed that a 14-year-old male was operating the moped when he lost control of the vehicle.
Authorities attributed the loss of control to excessive speed and an unsuitable adaptation to the road conditions. The moped subsequently collided with a second moped driven by a 13-year-old male who had stopped on the side of the road. Both drivers sustained injuries.
The 14-year-old suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 13-year-old sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. Following the accident, police seized the 14-year-old’s moped as part of the ongoing investigation.
The precise circumstances surrounding the collision are currently under review by the Novo mesto police department.
