Entrepreneurs and craftsmen for quick measures in the face of rising prices and a looming crisis

Slovenian business leaders are expressing concerns about the potential impact of current economic uncertainty and are proposing measures to mitigate its effects. Blaž Cvar, representing the Obrtna zbornica Slovenije (OZS), voiced worries about a widespread panic potentially disrupting the economy. He emphasized the need to provide reassurance to artisans and entrepreneurs that proactive steps are being taken.

Cvar stated his intention to introduce measures similar to those implemented during previous crises, contingent on the availability of support. These comments were made during an appearance on 24UR NEWS at 24UR ZVEČER. Vesna Nahtigal, from the Chamber of Commerce (GZS), detailed specific proposals aimed at supporting businesses.

These include potential price limits, adjustments to excise duties on energy, and possible caps on gas prices for small and medium-sized enterprises. Nahtigal also highlighted the importance of the Competitiveness Act, which was adopted in January and provides for subsidies designed to aid small and medium-sized enterprises. The chamber’s focus remains on providing a stable environment for businesses navigating the current challenging economic landscape.
