Borut Pahor stressed the importance of a clear message as the foundation of effective communication and performance. He emphasized that the core of a successful presentation lies in the content itself, advising individuals to “Let them focus on what they have to say.”
Pahor highlighted the difficulty of engaging an audience without a discernible message, stating, “It’s hard to be a good speaker or performer if you don’t have something to say or if you don’t have something to show.”
Confidence was identified as a critical component, going beyond simply possessing information. “If they have and believe they have,” Pahor explained, suggesting that genuine belief is often a driving factor behind public performances.
He cited the popularity of talent shows like Slovenia has Talent as an example, where participants often prioritize a focused external world rather than dwelling on audience reactions, camera presence, or personal anxieties.
