The dragons are heading into the new season with high ambitions

The Ljubljana team has officially commenced its preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 season. While informal training and testing have been ongoing, the official start marks the beginning of structured preparations for the new competitive cycle. The team’s schedule leading up to the season involves a series of preparatory matches.

Initially, Olimpija is scheduled for three consecutive guest appearances, beginning at Ferencvaros in Hungary. Prior to these fixtures, the squad will participate in six preparatory games. This preliminary phase includes two away matches at KAC Celovec and Pustertal, followed by a home game against Villach.

The preparation schedule will also incorporate a preparatory tournament held in Bremerhaven, Germany. The league structure for the new season will feature fourteen competing teams. Milan’s hockey players are slated to join the league as new entrants.

Meanwhile, the title defense will be undertaken by the team from Graz. These preparatory activities are designed to ensure the squad is optimally conditioned as the competitive season approaches in approximately five weeks.
