A bear got lost on the Croatian motorway

The Croatian motorway authority, HAK, has issued advisories urging drivers to exercise caution on a specific stretch of the major motorway linking Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik. Furthermore, current traffic conditions require heightened awareness across several key routes. Specifically, the A7 motorway tunnel is experiencing reduced capacity due to a traffic accident.

At present, traffic flow through the tunnel is restricted to a single lane and is moving at a reduced speed of 40 km/h. HAK reports that the affected segment, described as a column, spans a distance of two kilometers between the Škurinje and Trsat tunnels. Beyond this specific incident, general traffic volumes are reported to be elevated across important Croatian roads.

This increased congestion is also noted at access points leading to major tourist centers and at individual border crossings. In light of these varied conditions, HAK strongly recommends that all motorists adjust their driving speed and overall style to match the prevailing traffic circumstances. Adherence to posted speed limits and maintaining safe following distances are advised to ensure smooth passage through the network.

Drivers are urged to remain vigilant while navigating the motorway and connecting routes throughout the day.
