A video documenting an incident involving a bison in a local park was filmed by Mike MacLeod, a professional former military photographer. The footage was submitted to the Cowboy State Daily. MacLeod explained that he and his wife were camping in the park when they observed a bison.
Initially, a group of children filmed the bison from a distance using mobile phones. Following this, the bison began to move toward the children. The children reportedly screamed and ran away, causing the animal to move through the park.
The bison subsequently was seen on the ground, rolling and kicking up dust. MacLeod stated that the bison’s attention was first drawn to a passing car. He recounted that “the man in the car saw the animal, so he drove on.” After this interaction, the bison continued to run.
The video captures the sequence of events, which included the initial interaction with the children, the movement through the park, and the subsequent attraction of the animal to the vehicle.
