Do not rush with tire changes, winter can surprise us

It’s not far to the end of the calendar winter, but that doesn’t mean the low temperatures are completely behind us. Current weather conditions may give the impression that winter is over, yet late winter and early spring days are often unpredictable. The weather can quickly deteriorate, with temperatures dropping unexpectedly, and in some areas, snow is not excluded.

Most drivers certainly do not want to drive with all-season tires in such conditions. The Republic of Slovenia’s Public Transport Agency (AVP) reports that the law does allow changing winter tires with all-season tires from March 15th onwards. However, the weather does not follow administrative dates.

Therefore, experts advise drivers to wait a little longer with the change, particularly those who use the vehicle every day and cannot avoid driving in possible worse conditions. It’s not advisable to assume the not winter is truly over. The fluctuating temperatures require caution.

Drivers should prioritize safety and consider the unpredictable nature of the season.
