The company with the photomatons is busy, now they are suing the ministry

Citizens now must submit only the reference number for the digital photo, obtainable exclusively through an approved e-photographer. This change eliminates the requirement for physical photos, effective immediately. Previously, individuals needed to provide a physical photograph, but this process is now obsolete.

The shift represents a significant alteration for Actal, a company operating over 30 photoautomatics across Slovenia. According to the company’s director, David Petrina, this change will substantially impact their business. He stated that approximately 70 percent of Actal’s operations involve document production.

Petrina warned that the photo produced by their machines is of high quality, offering a fast and cost-effective solution. Furthermore, it allows users to capture photos in areas lacking traditional photographic equipment. Considering the altered requirements, Actal is likely to cease its document production business, as they can only provide a photo issued by an authorized e-photographer.

They must only submit the reference number.
