A tourist jumped into the sea from the cliff, both seriously injured

Pula Police responded to an incident at Galebove jame, a popular beach in Pula, on Friday afternoon. An 18-year-old German national jumped into the sea from an approximate height of eight meters, sustaining serious injuries. The following day, police revisited the location when a 50-year-old Italian national jumped into the sea from a height of about four meters, resulting in more severe injuries.

Both individuals were subsequently transported to the hospital in Pula. In response to these incidents, the Istrian Police Department issued a warning to beachgoers. Authorities advised bathers against jumping into the sea from rocks or any areas not designated for such activities, or where such behavior is prohibited.

This advisory comes despite the fact that Galebove jame remains a popular destination for swimmers, partly due to its features that allow for jumping and underwater exploration of caves.
