After almost 52 years, it was confirmed that Ted Bundy killed her

Laura Ann Aime, a 17-year-old girl, vanished following a Halloween party in 1974. Her remains were discovered by hikers approximately a month later within the American Fork canyon. Recently, the Utah County sheriff’s office revealed a significant development in the long-standing case.

They have identified DNA belonging to the notorious serial killer, Ted Bundy, on the remains of the deceased Laura. Sheriff Mike Smith formally declared the case officially closed during a press conference. He emphasized that if Bundy were still alive, he would currently face capital punishment.

At the time of Laura’s tragic death, Bundy resided in Salt Lake City, pursuing studies in law. Between February 1974 and February 1978, Bundy was responsible for the deaths of at least thirty women, with connections to numerous other murders across the United States, as reported by the BBC. Bundy initially gained public attention through photographs taken by the Associated Press, and subsequently escalated his violent activities, first in the northwest, and later in Utah.

The discovery of Bundy’s DNA provides a crucial link in the resolution of this decades-old mystery.
